DEMISE OF CHILDHOOD: On‑Demand Video Series for School Staff & Parents

A Wired Family is launching a new on‑demand video series designed exclusively for school staff and parent education. The Demise of Childhood addresses one of the most urgent challenges facing today’s families: helping children navigate a digital world that is evolving faster than most adults can track.

This growing series— of short, practical videos—focuses on how schools and parents can mitigate the risks associated with students’ online activity. Topics include AI‑generated deepfakes, AI companions, online predator behaviors, commercial surveillance, social media pressures, and the long‑term impact of a child’s digital footprint.

Each video is built to support the conversations educators and families are already having, offering clear, accessible guidance that can be shared internally throughout the school community.

This series is available only for staff and parent education and is intended to complement or augment your school’s existing digital‑safety efforts.

  1. Why would a video series on helping to educate school-age children with on-line activities be exclusive to educators and staff at schools only? It is my opinion that this is the kind of thing that should be available to parents as well. As the father of two teenage boys, I would like to gain access to this video series.
