Thanks for taking the time to visit A WIRED FAMILY. I’d like to tell you a little about myself.
First and foremost, I am a father of two wonderful married daughters, a husband to my incredible wife Mary Beth and a grandfather to five beautiful grandchildren. But I’m also a son, brother, uncle, father-in-law, son-in-law, employee, former coach and teacher. As you can see, family and education are my top priorities in life.
However, it is through my experiences in life and education that have allowed me the opportunity to understand the value that technology brings to our lives — as well as the challenges of managing these tools within a framework of families and schools.
My experiences over the past 30 years have been exciting. I started my career as a high school teacher and coach. I later worked at NCR Corporation in Dayton, Ohio for six years as writer and director of video-based and interactive programs related to the computer industry. I later worked in the video and film production business for about 20 years before joining the IT Consulting business in 1999.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Cincinnati’s Design, Art, Architecture & Planning program; a Masters Degree in Education & Communication from Xavier University; Executive Certification in Leadership & Management from The University of Notre Dame and a Masters Certificate in Internet Marketing from the University of San Francisco. I am currently founder and President of A Wired Family, LLC.
These experiences and my love of family have been the driving force behind the development of this blog and our school program. I hope that you find it of interest over the weeks and months to come.
